Where are you from?
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO!
How did you end up at BizLibrary?
Their recruiter reached out to me. After plenty of research and conversations, BizLibrary was the perfect fit for me.
Tell us a bit about your background.
With 15 years in the dance industry, I received a scholarship to attend Lindenwood University. I decided to retire the dancing shoes and focus on my teaching degree. Once I graduated, I taught children with special needs for a couple years. Although I no longer teach, it gives me great joy to be around kids. I volunteer for an anti-bullying organization, the Megan Meier Foundation, where I speak with middle school and high school kids to support and inspire actions to end bullying.
Since teaching, I worked at DexYP for three years as a business advisor for inside sales. I would help small business owners across the U.S. grow and maintain their business. In 2018, I was chosen to attend the company trip to Boca Raton, FL and was recognized as one of the top representatives in the company.
I currently live in South St. Louis with my dog, Ruby! In my free time, I enjoy writing, exploring different areas in the city, and spending time with my family.
What’s your favorite part of working at BizLibrary?
The culture, of course!
Describe yourself in three words.
Compassionate, happy, and reliable
Who would play you in a movie about yourself?
Tina Fey – I’ve been told I look like her with my glasses on.
Why is employee training important to you?
You aren’t growing if you aren’t learning – I believe this applies to businesses as well. When you can take ownership of your development and see results from it, you feel empowered. Continued learning only keeps you ahead of the game!
