BizLibrary Donates 648 Books to Jalen's Book Drive
Chesterfield, MO, December 4, 2012 – BizLibrary employees donated 648 books this fall to Jalen’s Book Drive, an organization that collects books for children of all ages, and donates them as Christmas gifts to critically ill children in the St. Louis area.
“I am very overwhelmed with the amount of support we have received from BizLibrary,” said BizLibrary Account Executive Becky Claggett. “BizLibrary has raised 648 books. In addition, Dean (Pichee) has donated $1 per book which means a ton more books that we can buy. Thank You! There will be many children smiling on December 3rd.”
Jalen Amari Julian Scott
Jalen’s Book Drive was created to honor Jalen Amari Julian Scott, Claggett’s nephew, who passed away at the age of three. Two of Jalen’s favorite things were Christmas and books, and so this drive is a way of honoring his life, keeping his spirit alive and brightening the holidays for other critically ill children.
This year, 1,500 books were delivered to St. Louis Children's Hospital, Delta Gamma, St. Louis Arc, Community Living and Maxim Healthcare on December 3rd, Jalen’s birthday. For more information on Jalen’s Book Drive visit http://www.jalensbookdrive.blogspot.com/.
