The second course in the series is designed to help you respond properly to discriminatory practices and the two types of sexual harassment recognized by the courts. Today's workforce is remarkably diverse and diversity-for example, in age, behavioral style, national origin, sexual orientation, and skills--is a valuable business asset. However, because a diverse workforce can create a host of compliance issues for you and your employer, you need to be alert to the ways in which federal laws protect you. You will also explore confidential information and non-competition agreements, and learn how your ethics in these and other areas can affect you and the integrity of your company. The third course in the series is designed to help you think in personal terms about the importance of the federal law that entitles you to time off from work to care for your family or yourself in the event of illness or other life event.
