Summary: | |
|
Organizational negativity is the responsibility of each individual. Negativity comes about due to individual reactions to an assortment of stressors such as organizational change, discrepancies between stated and unstated norms, individual perceptions, unconfirmed rumors, expectations and time constraints. To turn a negative organization into a positive one, individuals at all levels of the organization must assess and overcome their own form of negativity. Individuals must then learn to identify and isolate the causes of negativity so that the "infection" does not spread from person-to-person, department-to-department, and situation-to-situation. This series will teach you how to challenge individual negativity as well as how to protect yourself from the negativity of others. You will learn behavioral models to use in coaching themselves and others in how to build optimistic responses to any given situation. And you will learn how negative norms become entrenched in an organization, department or team and how to create a more positive working environment. Certification:None |
