Total Items: 7 Total Time: 21 hour(s)

Summary:

The performance of your business depends upon the performance of each team and each individual staff member. Feedback is an essential part of the performance management process. Only by giving your staff members effective feedback will you be able to encourage significant improvements in their performance. The first course introduces the basics of feedback that every working within a business environment should know. The subsequent courses in the series then deal with specific aspects of giving and receiving feedback: receiving and making use of feedback; feedback with colleagues and peers, team feedback, and feedback for managers. The second course, then, is concerned with the skills needed to receive feedback. However, managers are not the only source of useful feedback. You can provide effective feedback to your colleagues, or you may want to be able to give feedback to your boss. These aspects are covered in the third course of the series. Teams also need feedback on their performance, and there are times when a team needs to give feedback to the team leader. While the same principles apply, there are some specific approaches which can be used with teams, and these are covered in the fourth course. Finally in the fifth course, as a manager, a guardian of your business's performance, you must be able to give effective feedback to your direct reports. But, for feedback to be used effectively the recipient must understand what is being said, must be able to accept it objectively, and be able to act. Whatever your role in the business, you will be able to hone your feedback skills with one or more of the courses in this series.
