Summary:

e-Commerce is transforming the commercial landscape, with projections calling for growth to $1.2 trillion by 2002. Companies will continue to devote an increasing amount of their resources to conducting commerce on-line. As these companies struggle with the numerous issues involved in transforming traditional "bricks-and-mortar" approaches to the electronic world, they will have to develop a framework for evaluating changing commerce practices. They will also have to understand what aspects of e-commerce formulate an entirely new mode of business and what aspects simply continue with traditional business practices. This series of courses presents a model of how e-commerce functions, both in theory and in practice. It provides practical instruction on how to integrate an e-commerce component into the existing practices of a company, and on how to build an e-commerce enterprise from the ground up.
