"Be no flatterer, neither play with any that delights not to be play'd withal." That's No. 17 on George Washington's list of "Rules of Civility & Decent Behaviour in Company and Conversation." Just as it was in Washington's day, it's imperative in today's business world to know the proper etiquette required in all situations. Such knowledge is especially important given the continuing leveraging of the corporate structure and the increasing globalization of the contemporary marketplace. In this series, you'll learn everything you need to know about the basics of acting properly with all people in all business settings. You'll learn the etiquette required in the office every day, including the appropriate business attire for all situations. You'll learn the proper etiquette to use when speaking, using the telephone, writing, and dealing with customers. Group situations will also be addressed. To that end, you'll learn how to act at meetings, in negotiations, and during entertainment. Finally, practical training will be provided for management on how to deal effectively with staff members, each other, and their superiors as well as how staff members should act with management. By the end of this series, learners will have discovered the appropriate behavior for eliciting particular responses in almost any business scenario. Certification:None |
