Hank Epstein

After serving a Fortune 50 corporation for 25 years in responsible management positions in technology, manufacturing, planning and marketing, including a stint as the leader of a pilot re-engineering effort for a $2 billion unit of that corporation, Hank entered the entrepreneur ranks in 1991 by co-creating The Quality Coach!. Hank helps his clients appreciate the people they employ by showing them how to insure that each person’s talents are matched to the requirements of the job they perform; by teaching supervisors and managers to treat the people they lead with a sensitivity for their unique human needs; and by collaborating with them to design performance management systems that make work-life challenging and meaningful for both individual contributors and teams from the executive suite to the factory floor.

Hank believes that breakdowns in communication are at the root of almost every “value leak” that an organization experiences in the conduct of its business. He has created an approach to communicating called 100% Response-able Model™ of speaking and listening to help clients recognize and manage the automatic human responses that interfere with their ability to produce connection and understanding in their people interactions. Hank delights in bringing his self-acquired, practical knowledge of philosophy, psychology, systems thinking and business to bear in the service of a group or individual grappling with the challenges of adjusting to and thriving in a rapidly changing environment. His coaching sessions bristle with an energy that reflects his passion for supporting the performance and personal growth of his clients as well as their discovery and experience of their own greatness.

Hank is a certified Situational Leadership® and Coaching Clinic® Instructor, a certified Theory of Constraints Coach, and a Certified Professional Behavioral, Values, and Attributes Analyst. He has recently completed certification in the Fundamentals of Emotional Freedom Techniques™, an energy psychology modality used to address emotional blockages to achieving results. Hank served as the host of the St. Louis Chapter of the International Coach Federation from 2001-2003 and is the co-author of a book entitled “The Positive Power of NO”, published in 2005. Hank received his B.S. and Master's Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.

Joel Head

Joel Head is a dynamic and insightful public speaker who challenges and motivates his audiences. His presentations weave together sound principles and strategies for managing results during constant change and building workforce accountability. His forte includes business planning, employee accountability, relationship management and managing change which are the foundation of Headwinds Ltd. results driven performance improvement coaching and consulting practice. His talks are spiced with humor, energy, and incisive anecdotes from his many years of business management and business improvement experience.

A gifted communicator, teacher and coach, Joel has the ability to make tough issues understandable and to make complex ideas practical for business owners. He believes that when people learn to connect the work that they perform every day to meaningful values and goals in their life, amazing results occur in the person and in the companies where they work.

Joel launched Headwinds Ltd, a business coaching and consulting firm, in 2002 after many years consulting with major companies in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Prior to forming his own company, Joel was a Partner with Ernst & Young LLC, providing performance improvement and change management coaching and consulting to a diverse Fortune 1000 client base. In his more than 25 years in consulting and coaching, Mr. Head has managed many diverse assignments with clients involved in restructuring and reorganization, mergers, culture change, and human resource program change in both union and non-union operating environments.

Jeanette Nyden

Jeanette helps business people strike better deals by improving both their confidence and skill level at the bargaining table. Nyden produces recognizable performance improvement by offering negotiation coaching in addition to in-person and virtual training services. She is also the author of Negotiation Rules! A Practical Approach to Big Deal Negotiations.

Recognizing in 2003 that business people needed relevant and practical negotiation advice, Jeanette started J. Nyden & Co, Inc. Since then, she has trained and coached hundreds of people at businesses ranging from powerhouses like Microsoft to start-ups like NetStar Communications. Jeanette is an active, professional mediator, business attorney and adjunct professor in Seattle, Washington.

Nancy Piatt

Nancy Piatt provides training and consulting services from her office in Northern Kentucky. She specializes in team-related training, management and leadership development, business acumen, and performance management. Previously, Nancy served as Vice President of Training and Development for Thomson Learning for 7 years, where she developed the curriculum for PLATO, a blended learning new-manager development program. She also served on the team that planned and executed the Thomson Leadership in Technology training program for high-potential technologists.

Certified in 360-degree coaching, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, DDI, and AchieveGlobal, Nancy facilitates programs in management, leadership, performance management, interpersonal communications, negotiations, change management, interviewing skills, customer service, and team dynamics. She has developed and delivered customized leadership programs for global clients in Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. Nancy has executive-level experience in Human Resources, serving as Vice President of Human Resources for International Thomson Publishing.

Nancy is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management, and Commerce Lexington. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and English from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and an MBA from New York Institute of Technology.

Drew has trained thousands of business professionals, traveling to places such as Johannesburg, Tokyo, London, Singapore and Quito Ecuador. Drew provides instruction to top universities in the St. Louis area, concentrating on Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing and Strategy. Dr. Stevens is also the developer of the Sales Leadership Program at St. Louis University. He holds an MBA in International Business and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with an emphasis in workplace productivity.
