In order to experience the full array of multimedia features in the CompanyCollege LMS, please ensure you have at least the minimum system requirement listed below. If you are taking soft skill courses such as Management Skills or Communication Improvement, refer to the SkillSoft section. If you are engaged in technical courseware such as Office 2003 or Java, refer to the MindLeaders section.

SkillSoft

• 166MHz Pentium CPU required to support audio playback. Minimum 64 MB RAM (128 MB or higher recommended)
• End user workstations should have a minimum video resolution of 800x600 with 16-bit color (1024x768 recommended)
• 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system: Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
• Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 5.x or greater
• Netscape Navigator™, version 6.2, 7.0, and 7.1
• Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7.2 – ONLY on Windows 2000, XP and SuSE Linux, with JRE versions of 1.4.2_03 and JRE 1.4.2_05 respectively
• Enable browser caching, Active Scripting, and Scripting of Java Applets
• Support JavaScript 1.0 and Java 1.0.2 and .ZIP, .JAR, or .CAB Java Applets

  – Microsoft JVM is supported with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x and greater
  – Sun JRE (with JVM) version 1.3.1_02 to 1.3.1_15; 1.4.0 to 1.4.0_04; 1.4.1 to 1.4.1_07; 1.4.2 to 1.4.2_08; 1.5.0 to1.5.0_04 (aka 5.0)
  Note: Versions 1.5.0_05, 1.5.0_06 are not currently compatible with the SkillSim courses. For SkillSims, the highest supported release is 1.5.0_04.
• Recommended: Enable Java Console
• A browser enabled with a pop-up blocker (or similar window blocking tool) may interfere with the launch of the Job Aids, NASBA, Help, and SkillBriefs windows from the SkillSoft Course Player. If this occurs, SkillSoft recommends you set the blocking tool to "Always allow" for SkillSoft (e.g. sites ending in: *.skillsoft.com or *.skillport.com. An additional technique is to use the CTRL or SHIFT key when selecting the link from the Player. If both of these fail, SkillSoft recommends disabling the blocking tool during course play and re-enabling it after completing your play session.

MindLeaders

• 200MHz Pentium with 32MB Ram
• 800 x 600, 16-bit color recommended
• 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system: Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, or XP
• Internet Explorer 5.x or higher required
• Firefox, Netscape and AOL browsers are not supported.
• The Macromedia Flash Player is used for course introductions and activities, but is not required to run MindLeaders courses. It can be installed the first time you take a course by following the instructions shown at login.
