Learning Excellence, ALIGN 2011 Award Winners

Chesterfield, MO, October 27, 2011 – BizLibrary, the leading content and technology provider  for small and mid-sized businesses, announced its user awards for excellence in learning at Align 2011, its user conference in downtown St. Louis on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. The winners which include Hood Packaging, Seven Dimensions, DWA Healthcare Communications Group, Bally Technologies, Healthport, and CHAN Healthcare Auditors demonstrate how BizLibrary’s learning solutions are contributing to improved business results and workforce development.

Align brings together learning professionals and practitioners across industries to discuss best practices and trends within training, employee development and learning technology.

The 2011 award categories and winners are:

Client Loyalty: Hood Packaging has partnered with BizLibrary for over 10 years to deliver compliance and Legal training to all employees. The Lending Library has become part of their training culture and is a go to resource for group sessions facilitated by trainers and for individual development requested by managers for employees. Core topics addressed are: EEO, Harassment, Workplace Violence, Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Documentation of Disclipne, FMLA just to name a few. BizLibrary offers a wide variety of topics for Hood Packaging to easily access and utilize and over the course of their partnership, the lending library has been tied to the employee’s development and growth within the company

Partner of the Year: Seven Dimensions was recognized as Partner of the Year. Seven Dimension's founder Eve Ash delivered a powerful Keynote Address, Finding Our Magic for Inspirational Leadership. Eve also debuted their newest "Cutting Edge" series. which will soon be included in our Streaming Video Library. A major factor in their success is the emphasis placed on developing and maintaining an open and communicative approach with clients in order to produce the exact style of program required for today's audiences. This focus assists in producing high quality programs that motivate the audience and have a lasting effect.

Best Blended Learning Program: DWA Healthcare Communications Group currently uses BizLibrary’s e-learning and award-winning streaming video content. DWA incorporates this online training content into its program by assigning required courses to employees so that employees can access and complete the online elements of the training program on a self-directed basis. The streaming video courses frequently serve as pre work and conduct follow up supporting classroom programs.  DWA employees have individual development plans that are built with supervisor input. The supervisors are charged with coaching employees through the program as employees work to improve their knowledge and skills in mission critical areas.

Best Metrics: Bally Technologies has been a client since October 2009. Bally's primary strategic objective for 2011 is employee morale and retention. Their Leadership Development Program and BizLibrary Solutions have directly impacted their results.

Bally Technologies Program Overview: Their Leadership Program includes a blend of e-learning courses, instructor-led courses, mentoring and coaching, and quarterly meetings and discussion groups. Their metrics include: 100% retention of all program participants, 20.6% of program participants were promoted within the last year.

Learning Professional of the Year: Amanda Boyle, Manager of Training and Development at Healthport, was recognized as the Learning Professional of the Year. She has spent over 24 years in the training industry. Amanda joined Healthport in 1997. Amanda’s key achievements include: building Healthport Online University from the ground up, managing more than 5,000 end-users and creating more than 75 custom courses using Lectora.

Learning Program of the Year: CHAN Healthcare Auditors was recognized as the Learning Program of the Year for 2011. CHAN has developed and implemented an integrated learning program that has delivered measured successful results. The learning program has clearly defined challenges that require a unique solution in order to make the program a success. CHAN's program is multifaceted and considers the different learn styles of their employees. The Program features a variety of learning modalities that infuse a renewed energy across the organization about learning and development.
